On Monday, July 4, 2009 at 06:40am Company 58 (Bon Air), Engine 56 and Tower 34 were dispatched for a dwelling fire in the Uni block of Warrior Road. The fire company was dispatched via 911 by a observant neighbor who heard the home's smoke alarms sounding. Chief 58-9 arrived on location and reported a two story single family dwelling with smoke showing from the roof area. 58-9 established Bon Air Command and had Fireboard dispatch 38 for the RIT. 58-9 ordered Pipeline 58 to pull an 1 3/4" attack line to the front door, Tower 34 to take the roof and Engine 56 to drop a 5" supply line to the Pipeline. The fire was quickly located and extinguished. Crews knocked down the fire, performed overhaul and ventilation, and cleared the scene just before 08:30am.
